UCA Affiliates enjoy the autonomy of owning and operating their own center(s) while gaining the benefit of a network of solutions that, when applied, enhance the value of the center to the patient and drive improved operating efficiencies. This connection is made stronger by the one-of-a-kind UCA Passport program™. This unique program focuses on a card that functions as unique identifier card that, when presented at any UCA-affiliated center, can be swiped through a card reader that will facilitate electronic presentation of the patient’s medical and demographic information, including all visit history to any UCA-affiliated center. This state-of-the-art program allows patients to enjoy the freedom of traveling virtually anywhere and, presuming the presence of a UCA Affiliate is nearby, may present the card and allow their chosen provider to have access to medical and demographic information without having to go through a tedious and time consuming registration and intake process.
In the current healthcare market, the drive to make access and connectivity a reality is the strongest that it has ever been. The leadership of UCA selected the urgent care market to focus this initiative because urgent care represents one of the strongest provider-driven reform activities in the country. Urgent Care EMR
It is the objective of UCA to provide for a secure and centralized medical record that is only accessed when the patient authorizes it via the UCA Passport. Physicians and providers enjoy a standardized EMR and practice management solution, that is customized to adapt to the fast-paced urgent care environment. UCA identifies only with products that are certified by the Commission for Certification of Health Information Technology (CCHIT) which is the only nationally recognized organization that exists to facilitate the connectivity and functionality of electronic medical records throughout the United States. Though there are hundreds of electronic medical record solutions, only a handful that have achieved this certification and UCA is the only nationally organization that is focused on urgent care development into a network of independent but linked sites.
