UCA is on a mission to bring a special kind of connectivity to affiliated urgent care centers. Within the next 2 years, UCA will faciliate the UCA Passport (TM). Passport will be a card that can be issued to patients that visit a UCA Affilaite urgent care center and upon request. The card will give the patient the capability of authorizing medical information accumulated from prior visits to UCA affiliate urgent care centers to be accessed at any UCA Affiliate urgent care center.
As UCA transitions existing urgent care centers to its information platform and adds new ones, the Passport program will be rolled out. Ultimately, the company plans on this technology being available for use in early 2011.
